The X and Y are two different groups in the Indian Air Force. The X group is for those candidates who are from a science background. Those candidates can join technical trade in the Indian Air Force. Qualification Required | Completion of Air Force X Group training is essential. All applicants for the 2024 Air Force Recruiting Group X program must have the desired education. You must have passed High School (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics and English subjects with at least 50% in aggregate and 50% in EnglishOR you must have passed a three-year Diploma Engineering Course in any occupation with at least 50% in aggregate and 50% in English. You should have completed 2 2-year vocational courses with non-vocational subjects ie. Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks and 50% marks in English. |
Medical Standards | (i) Height: 152.5 cm except IAF (P) and Auto Tech trades. However, the Minimum acceptable height for Auto Tech and IAF (P) trades is listed below:- For IAF(P) trade – 165 Cms (For hilly regions) 175 Cms For Auto Tech trade -162.5 Cms (For North East and Hill States) 165 CmsNote: Candidates from NE and Hill states include Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Kumaonis, Assamese and those belonging to the states of Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim and hilly areas of Uttaranchal.(ii) Chest: Minimum 5 cm(iii) Weight: According to BMI (Body Mass Index). However, a minimum weight of 55 Kg is required for Operations Assistant (ATS) Trade only. (iv) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable. (v) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing with each ear whisper from a distance of 6 meters. (vi) Dental: healthy gums, a good set of teeth and 14 dental points.(vii) General Health: The candidate has normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from acute or chronic, any active or latent, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidates shall be fit mentally and physically to perform duty in any location, in any condition. |
